Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions Policy is the primary policy governing all training, seminars, conferences and other events scheduled, advertised and implemented within the McNaughton Events (Pty) Ltd environment.

Booking Procedure

Advance event registration is facilitated through the McNaughton Events website. The process are as follows:

  1. An event contact shall be established and communicated for each event
  2. Advance registration confirmation shall be provided to each registrant by way of e-mail to the address noted in the registration

Cancellation and Credit Vouchers

Delegate Cancellations must be received by McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd in writing.

Cancellations received 10 working days before Event start-date, entitle the cancelling delegate to a full credit of amounts (credit to attend future event – not refund monies) paid to date of cancellation which may only be redeemed against the cost of any future McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd , within one year from date of such cancellation; Any cancellations received less than 10 working days before the Event start-date, do not entitle the cancelling delegate to any refund or credit note and the full fee must be paid; Non-attendance without written cancellation to the McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd is treated as a cancellation with no entitlement to any refund or credit.

Walk in Attendees

Unless otherwise noted in the event registration materials, walk-ins may be denied access to events based on location restrictions and availability of materials.

All registrants / delegates must check in at the event registration table upon arrival at the event.

Registrants / Delegates may provide a substitution, subject to the following:

  • Substitutes must be for the same event
  • If the substitution is made on the day of the event, the substitute must communicate this at the check-in table
  • Upon substitution, responsibility for fees transfers to the substitute

Event Payment Methods and Terms

Participants must pay in advance by EFT.

McNaughton Events will engage with each delegate and ensure that the delegate will receive a Client Information Form (CIF) for the registration of the delegate / entity on the McNaughton Events Financial system, for the issuing of invoices.

All invoices will need to be paid prior to the event on receipt of invoice.

Participants not paying may be denied entrance to the event.

Payment is due in full upon completion and return of the registration form. Due to limited conference space, we advise early registration to avoid disappointment. McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to admit or refuse admission to delegates who have not shown proof of payment of conference fees or not agreed to sign an indemnity form.

“No Shows”

Registrants who do not attend, do not cancel in accordance with the policies outlined in this document, or do not provide a substitution before the deadlines referenced above are deemed “No Shows” and remain responsible for the full registration fees.

If a Registrant does not attend, cancel in accordance with the policies outlined in this document, or provide a substitution before the deadline for an event free of charge to members, the “No Show” will be responsible for any costs (food and/or room) the Initiative is unable to recover for that individual.

“No Shows” may not apply registration fee charges to a future event.

Unpaid Fees

Members who maintain unpaid event fees may be subject to either or both of the following until charges are settled:

  • Denial of entrance to subsequent events
  • Withholding of certificate


A strict No Refund policy exists for any and all events conducted under the brand of McNaughton Events.

Speaker Changes

Occasionally it is necessary for reasons beyond our control to alter the content and timing of the program or the identity of the speakers.

If McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd cancels an Event, delegate payments at the date of cancellation will be credited to a McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd event (such credit is available for up to one year from the date of cancellation).

If McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd postpones an Event, delegate payments at the postponement date will be credited towards the rescheduled Event.

If the delegate is unable to attend the rescheduled Event, the delegate will receive a full credit of amounts paid up to the date of postponement which may only be redeemed against the cost of any future McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd Event (and such credit will be available for one year from the date of postponement).

No cash refunds whatsoever are available for cancellations or postponements.


McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd l is absolved from and indemnified against any loss or damage as a result of substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an Event arising from any cause whatsoever, including, without limitation, any fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of the Event impracticable or impossible.

A “fortuitous event” includes, but is not limited to, war, fire, flood, riot, industrial action, extreme weather or another emergency.

Warranty of Authority

The signatory warrants that he/she has the authority to sign this Application and agrees to be personally liable to McNaughton Events (PTY) Ltd for payments failing due pursuant thereto should warranty be breached.
